They had such great promotional material, we wanted to keep the rest of the site simple, so we focused on ease of navigation and replicating the great color scheme.

It’s neon!

Site Launch: TraverseCityLodging.Com

May 12th, 2008 Posted in New Sites, General News | No Comments »

We recently launched a new site for Summerside Properties here in Traverse City.  They own 5 hotels and were looking for a way to pull them together under website.  Kind of a launching pad.  They wanted something anonymous that was branded more with the area than with their logo, so we snapped a picture of Lake Michigan and incorporated it into the header.

We then focused on making a site that read more like a hotel guide than a corporate brochure.  We kept everything very simply with lots of text so that it would rocket up into search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, and AOL.  Here’s the home page of the site:

Site Launch: Billy Stritch, World Famous Jazz Pianist

January 11th, 2008 Posted in New Sites, General News | No Comments »

We’re very pleased to announce the launch of a new site we designed and built for world famous jazz pianist, Billy Stritch.

Billystritch.com

Billy is Liza Minnelli’s musical director (and Christine Ebersole’s, and Stephanie J. Block’s…the list goes on), and is currently performing for her world tour. The launch party for the site and Billy’s new CD is at the world famous Birdland jazz club in New York City on February 18th.

“We designed Billy’s site based on the beautiful cover for his new album, Billy Stritch Sings Mel Torme,” says Traverse City Web Design co-founder, Kate Botello. “We also wanted to make sure that there was easy access to Billy’s work and performances and tried to make it very easy to purchase the CD.

We also took the time to create the 30 second audio clips for the album using the most representative parts of the songs rather than the first 30 seconds of the intro. This way you really get to hear what the songs are all about.”

Visit the Schedule page of BillyStritch.com to find out when and where you can look for Billy Stritch performing with some of the world’s most talented people in a city near you.
